| well, greeting to all from nassau bahamas :) yes, i'm online while i'm at the bahamas. some may say, wasn't there something more entertaining to do? the answer is a ....well, kinda. it's a whooping 110 degrees outside, and i'm sorry, but that's one condition in which i will NOT sit by the pool. also, the straw market, in which i made some EXCELLENT purchases this morning reminds me of a cross between a jail and an asylum. not to mention that, besides from the people we eat dinner with, whom are from abingdon, va, i can not understand the language of a single person i've met. mom accidentally agreed to buy something today for 300 dollars, she thought he said 10. as you can see, those dont even sound alike, and this is the problem. also, there's lots of cool clubs on the boat, adult comedy, lots of stuff like that. but it's not really fun to go by yourself. i mean, we happened to walk by the bar where they had the "singles" meeting, and there were, count em up, 5 whole singles, all over the age of 40. i guess most people on this boat didnt' want to worry about their older children, so they brought friends. oh not my family, they think it's entertaining to sit in one place and listen to the same mediocre band and watch old people dance. i know i know, i sound like a brat. i'm on a cruise, in the bahamas, how bad can it be? the answer is not too bad. i mean it is fun. it's just not the exciting kind of thing. there is a lot of food, which isnt the greatest news to me. but it is gorgeous. the internet cafe is right beside the windows, so i'm litterally looking out at an expanse of ocean and nassau, which is gorgeous. david and i went to the Atlantis hotel today, and that was something to see. it was amazing. i just feel kinda alone i think. mom and dad want to do their own thing, and i'll hang with david, but we just kinda do our own thing. i cant find arden,w hich obviously worries me, and i have to pay for internet, so i can't just sit here all day and wait for someone to come online, not that i would want to do that anyway. but in conclusion, yes it's gorgeous, yes i had a literal panic attack the first day ( whole other story), yes it's absolutely sweltering here, but it is gorgeous, and it's not first community bank, and how many people get the opportunity to do this? not many. so while i may be wallowing in self pity at the time, which is largely due to the fact that arden hasnt emailed me back and i'm afraid he's dead, i am having a good time. side note, i got a louis vitton messenger bag/laptop bag for 50 bucks. and a LV checkbook cover for 10. that was pretty sweet. in the straw market they have LV, Kate Spade, Coach, Guchi (sp??), Prada...it's sweet. But it's so flaming hot in there with no air and BO galore, i only had a few minutes. and i thought to myself, when else in my life will i have the dough to buy a louis vitton book bag. the answer was never. so i am very estatic about that. ok, enough rambling and waiting for arden to come online, i'm out. it's almost dinner time...which is a good thing because i'm starving.....NOT (for reference, there is 24 hour free food, and for dinner, you can order whatever you want, how ever many times you want) Chaffins out... | | |
